What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Liability Defense Associate Attorney position at Kubicki Draper?
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2 years of litigation experience to join our General Liability Defense practice.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling civil litigation matters and a strong interest in developing their career within insurance defense. Experience with premises liability, automobile negligence, personal injury defense, or other general liability matters is highly preferred.
Responsibilities- Help run and assist with managing a caseload of general liability defense matters
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
- Conduct and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
- Analyze claims, develop case strategies, and provide thoughtful recommendations to clients
- Negotiate settlements and assist with cases through all stages of litigation
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and team members
- 2 years of litigation experience
- General liability and/or insurance defense experience preferred
- Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a desire for long-term professional growth
