What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appellate Associate position at Kubicki Draper?
The Tampa office of Kubicki Draper is currently seeking an Appellate Associate with 2 years of experience. Recent law school graduates with Moot Court or Law Review experience will be considered.
Qualifications:
- Stellar academic credentials
- Strong legal research and excellent writing skills, as well as possess strong/persuasive oral advocacy
- Judicial Clerkship Preferred
- Prior Appellate or Insurance Coverage Experience Preferred
- Desire to excel and work your way up the ranks of the law firm
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to our clients, with a client first mindset
- Highly organized, with clear and concise communication style
- Must be a self-starter and goal-oriented with a focus on long-term career goals
- Proficient in Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Westlaw online research
- Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complex Research and Analysis on Civil Law
- Draft/Edit Appellate Briefs
- Draft/review various pleadings, motions and responses
- Insurance Coverage Analysis
