About Kubick Aviation Services

Kubick Aviation Services is a locally grown and rapidly expanding Part 145 repair station supporting both external customers and our affiliated Part 135 fleet of light jets. With more than 150 years of combined industry experience, our team provides aircraft maintenance, repair, and service using proven equipment, modern technology, and practical expertise.

As the region’s recognized leader in aircraft service, maintenance, and management, we take pride in solving complex problems, performing high-quality work, and keeping aircraft operating safely and reliably.

We are looking for an experienced A&P Mechanic to join our growing team.

About the Position

As an A&P Mechanic, you will perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of aircraft systems and components, with regular opportunities to support our Part 135 light-jet fleet. You will work closely with other technicians, flight operations, and company leadership to identify mechanical, electrical, structural, and hydraulic issues and determine the safest and most effective repair approach.

Most work is performed in our hangar Monday through Friday. Occasional AOG field service, ramp-side work, after-hours support, and rotating on-call coverage may be required.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, dependable mechanic who works well independently, communicates clearly, pays close attention to detail, and remains committed to continued technical training and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect aircraft structures, engines, propellers, wings, flight controls, and other components for cracks, corrosion, wear, damage, and other defects
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, structural, and hydraulic system malfunctions
  • Repair or replace defective components using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and approved maintenance practices
  • Use gauges, test equipment, and diagnostic tools to evaluate aircraft systems and components
  • Complete scheduled, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and testing
  • Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, company procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
  • Follow established emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • Participate in required training and continuing education
  • Assist with AOG response, ramp-side maintenance, and after-hours support as needed
  • Collaborate effectively with technicians, leadership, customers, and other departments

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required
  • Inspection Authorization preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, technical documents, mechanical drawings, and engineering instructions
  • Sound judgment and the ability to balance multiple priorities while completing work safely and efficiently
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete assigned work on schedule
  • Ability to work independently without continuous direct supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Availability for rotating on-call shifts, occasional evenings, holidays, and overtime when required
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Ability to successfully complete an FAA and DOT-compliant drug screening
  • Must provide the tools necessary to perform the position

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires the employee to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and work beneath aircraft wings and structures
  • Use hands and tools with a high degree of coordination and precision
  • Maintain sufficient hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision to perform aircraft maintenance safely
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Work in and around aircraft, hangars, ramps, and other active aviation environments
