Contract: 13 weeks contract with possibility of extension
Shift: 12-hour Nights | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay: $55–$60/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. In this role, you will care for a diverse adult patient population, perform comprehensive nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes. This position is ideal for an adaptable RN who works well in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering excellent bedside care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients.
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Follow infection-control procedures, safety standards, and hospital policies.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
- Provide compassionate care while promoting patient safety, comfort, and dignity.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Experience caring for a diverse adult patient population
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
