Indian Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ASC, jointly owned by the University of Kansas Health System and physician investors. Indian Creek ASC has 7 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms enabling us to provide patients with services in Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, GI and Pain. Indian Creek ASC is seeking an experienced RN with a diverse skillset in both scrubbing and circulating. The Scrub RN assists the surgeon and surgical team in multiple ways. The RN is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of physician preference cards, pulling cases, preparing and maintaining supplies, equipment and instruments for cases, competency in sterile technique policies and procedures, compliance with HIPAA and other assigned duties. The Circulator is responsible for the safety of each patient in the OR. The RN must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Competing demands require someone who is able to appropriately prioritize tasks and demonstrate attention to detail. The RN is required to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with teammates, physicians, ancillary staff, and patients. The RN reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and will cross-train to other functions as needed.
Required experience/skills/education
Graduation from an accredited nursing school required
Active Kansas nursing license in good standing required
Minimum of 2 years as Operating Room Circulating RN preferred
CNOR preferred
