About The Role

We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to join our team for an exciting project that involves editing recap videos from a recent conference. As a video editor, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content that highlights key moments, sessions, and takeaways from the event. These videos will be used for promotional purposes and shared with attendees and online audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw conference footage into concise, engaging recap videos that capture the key moments of the event.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and content team to understand the vision, objectives, and messaging for each video.
  • Trim and arrange video footage to ensure the final product flows seamlessly and maintains audience engagement.
  • Add text overlays, graphics, animations, and captions to enhance the video’s impact and accessibility.
  • Integrate sound effects, background music, and voiceovers to ensure high-quality audio and visual presentation.
  • Ensure all videos meet the technical and creative requirements, including proper formatting and resolution.
  • Review footage and identify highlights, speeches, and key discussions that should be featured in the recap videos.
  • Manage and organize raw video files, edits, and final video outputs in an efficient and accessible manner.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to deliver videos on time, meeting all deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a video editor, preferably with experience in editing event recaps, conference videos, or similar content.
  • Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong understanding of video storytelling, pacing, and editing techniques.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality standards for both video and audio.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Familiarity with adding graphics, motion design, and color correction is a plus.
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and file compression.
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing previous video editing work (preferably with event or recap-style videos).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional video editing experience in a corporate, agency, or freelance environment.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience editing event or conference videos is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with audio editing and mixing to ensure high-quality sound in final videos.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of video editing skills, with examples of recap videos, highlight reels, or similar content.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working on conference or event video projects.
  • Experience with After Effects or other motion graphics software.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools and workflows.
