Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and other vehicle components.
- Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing or repairing faulty parts, including powertrain components, vehicle suspension systems, transmissions, and electrical wiring.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems effectively.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and repairs to ensure modern safety features function correctly.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Perform wheel alignments and suspension system repairs to optimize vehicle handling and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle makes and models.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and diagnostics software.
- Hands-on experience with American and Asian vehicles or similar brands is preferred; familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing powertrain systems, vehicle transmission system repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic devices.
- Ability to read and interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
