Job Summary

KSI Metals is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to serve as the first point of contact for our customers. This role plays a key part in daily operations by ensuring smooth communication between customers and our production team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for answering calls, assisting walk-in customers, entering orders accurately, and ensuring all information flows efficiently through our systems. This is a fast-paced role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask across multiple software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide a professional first impression
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions or direct them to the appropriate team member
• Provide customers with packing slips quickly and accurately
• Input customer orders into multiple software systems with a high level of accuracy
• Ensure all orders are entered according to company standards and required timelines
• Perform quality checks to verify all order details before submission
• Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure smooth workflow
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide solutions or escalation when needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with multiple software systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience in customer service or front desk roles
• Experience in manufacturing or construction-related environments

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
