What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant / Part-Time position at KRYSTAL KARE LLC?
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide dedicated support to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's in an individual client assignment. This live-out position focuses on delivering personal care, mobility assistance, emotional support, and safety supervision to enhance clients' quality of life and ensure their well-being, especially during nighttime hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assisting with bathroom visits and safely returning clients to bed
- Offer mobility assistance to help clients move safely and comfortably
- Deliver emotional support tailored to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's
- Ensure client safety and prevent falls, particularly during the night
- Respond promptly and calmly if the client wakes up confused or disoriented
- Supervise clients to maintain a secure environment
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with patient assistance, especially in dementia care
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Effective time management abilities
- Ability to perform housekeeping tasks as part of caregiving duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
