Duties
- Assist with landscape installation projects including planting, sod laying, and hardscape construction
- Maintain landscape features through pruning, trimming, and shrub shaping to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, trenching, and installing irrigation systems
- Possiblity for snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways
- Assist with equipment maintenance and basic repairs to ensure tools and machinery are in optimal condition
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge for operating power tools and small machinery such as excavators or trimmers
- Experience with lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques including planting, pruning, irrigation installation, and hardscape features preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and wheelbarrows; experience with power tools is a plus
- Strong attention to safety procedures when handling equipment like excavators or operating snow plows
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate on projects efficiently
