Purpose of this Position:

Advance the firm’s employer brand within its talent markets and act as a trusted advisor to senior colleagues throughout the hiring process.

Primary Responsibilities:

Personally Lead Experienced Recruiting Efforts:

· Partner with service line leaders and other hiring managers to define role requirements, qualifications, timing, and search strategy for experienced hires

· Manage the full-cycle recruitment process – sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation – leveraging all available tools and channels

· Work with the firm’s marketing team to maintain an active social media presence to strengthen the firm’s brand awareness among referral sources and prospective candidates

· Work closely with the Talent Pipeline Specialist to maximize the applicant tracking system to promote opportunities and manage candidates

· Maintain strong working relationships with HR, Resource Management, and other internal partners to assure effective and timely decision-making regarding offers, compensation, and onboarding

Coordinate the Talent Pipeline Function:

· Work with service line leaders to establish internship and new graduate hiring goals

· Work with Talent Pipeline Specialist to develop and execute action plans for college/university engagement, the internship experience, and full-time career launch

· Help represent the firm at key talent pipeline events, including career fairs, faculty relationship-building, and state CPA society activities

· Provide coaching and feedback to the Talent Pipeline Specialist to ensure effective performance

Engage within the Firm and the Accounting Profession:

· Participate in internal firm initiatives and communities to fully understand, embrace, and contribute to the firm’s culture and values

· Contribute to firm initiatives as requested, e.g., strategic planning, emerging technology adoption, etc.

· Stay current with talent acquisition trends and engage in professional communities within the accounting profession, including BDO Alliance USA and state and national CPA organizations

Ideal Candidate Profile:

· At least three years of professional recruiting experience, ideally in an organization with a technical/professional workforce

· Demonstrated proficiency with current and emerging recruiting technologies and platforms

· High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust with candidates and internal stakeholders

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field

· Working knowledge of employment-related laws and HR compliance

· Exemplify the qualities of an ideal team player – humble, hungry, and smart – with personal alignment to the firm’s values of respect, integrity, excellence, balance, and innovation
