As a Director within Kroll’s Sales & Use Tax Advisory practice, you will lead multiple complex engagements, develop innovative tax planning strategies, and drive growth in our Sales & Use Tax services. This role requires strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and strong leadership to help clients proactively manage their sales and use tax liabilities across diverse industries.

- Lead and manage complex sales and use tax engagements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Implement process and system improvements for clients to optimize compliance and efficiency.
- Identify, market, and secure new opportunities for sales tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.
- Cross-sell complementary Kroll services to new and existing clients.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership through webinars, conferences, and published articles on emerging tax issues.
- Research and interpret new and existing tax legislation to provide proactive guidance.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work products that exceed client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to sustain a robust pipeline of engagements.
- Mentor, train, and supervise team members, fostering professional growth and excellence.
- Collaborate with leadership to expand the Sales & Use Tax practice and drive revenue growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field.
- 15 years of relevant sales and use tax consulting experience, including leadership roles.
- Deep knowledge of multi-state and local sales and use tax statutes; experience with Canadian VAT is a plus.
- Industry expertise in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, or technology is beneficial.
- Proven track record in business development and growing a tax practice.
- Exceptional project management and presentation skills, with superior verbal and written communication.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams in a professional services environment.
