Circulating Nurse - OR RN

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Circulating Nurse - OR RN to join our award winning Ambulatory Surgery Center.

**This is a full time or part time (24-32 hours per week) PERMANENT opportunity.

SHIFT: M-F, Day shift, 4x10s or 5x8s, No nights, No weekends, No holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with all necessary orthopedic instruments, implants, and specialized equipment, ensuring sterility and functionality
• Verify patient identity, procedure, surgical site, and consent while leading the surgical time-out process
• Coordinate communication and workflow among the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique and continuously monitor the sterile field to prevent contamination
• Position patients safely and appropriately for orthopedic procedures, using proper supports and equipment
• Perform accurate surgical counts (instruments, sponges, sharps) and document intraoperative care, including implants and medications
• Monitor the patient’s condition during surgery and promptly report any changes to the team
• Assist with orthopedic-specific equipment and ensure proper room turnover, restocking, and readiness for subsequent cases

Requirements

• Valid RN license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• At least 2 years of experience working as a circulating nurse within an operating room setting
• Experience in orthopedics is required. Experience with total joints is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and intraoperative procedures.

Pay: $38.00 - $54.00 per hour

• operating room circulating : 2 years (Required)
• Orthopedic surgery: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
