Channel Manager - Sales
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Channel Manager to join our sales team. This role is essential for optimizing our distribution network, enhancing sales volumes through our existing distributors, and expanding our market reach. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset to manage and grow distributor relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distributor Performance Management: Regularly assess the performance of existing distributors, identifying areas for growth and improvement. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales volumes and profitability through targeted sales initiatives and promotions.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing distributors. Serve as the main point of contact for distributor queries, concerns, and support needs, ensuring high levels of distributor satisfaction.
- Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate potential new distributors in non-competitive markets, with a focus on expanding market reach and enhancing product distribution. Lead the negotiation and onboarding process for new distributors, ensuring alignment with company goals and market strategies.
- Performance Improvement: Provide additional support and training to existing distributors as required. Proactively identify underperforming distributors and implement corrective actions. This may include re-negotiating terms or terminating agreements when necessary to maintain a high-quality distributor network.
- Sales Targets: Set and monitor sales targets for distributors, providing guidance and support to ensure these targets are met or exceeded. Implement incentive programs to motivate distributors to achieve and surpass sales goals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify sales trends, distributor performance, and market opportunities. Attend relevant events and conferences to build relationships and promote our Company. Utilize this data to inform strategies for market penetration and distributor support.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other departments, including marketing and product development, to ensure distributor needs are met and that there is alignment in promotional activities and product offerings.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on distributor performance, market trends, and sales outcomes to senior management. Utilize data to make informed decisions and adjustments to strategies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and manage channel partner budgets and forecast revenue and growth as part of the Company’s overall performance plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a sales or channel management role, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and decisively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with distributors and explore new market opportunities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
