Position Summary:
The Final Assembly position is responsible for assembling furniture components.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize tools and machines such as air tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, staple guns, hand tools, staple puller, scissors, hammers and pliers.
Must be able to ensure all specifications of the order met
Ability to read production tickets and any special instructions
Applying furniture legs, bases, sleeper units, swivels and black bottom using traditional construction techniques
This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high quality standards.
Requires lifting 50 lbs continuously,100 lbs occasionally
Experience/Certifications/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience with upholstery or furniture manufacturing
Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills:
Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 or more hours daily
Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Comfortable multi-tasking, or pivoting between tasks as the need arises
Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change
A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service, be a team player, and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
