Position Summary:
The Inspector is responsible for inspecting the final product before it is packed, looking for defects and deviations from specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to read complex production tickets and any special instructions
Utilize tools such as scissors, fabric steamers and cleaning products
Ability to work at a productive pace with no errors
Understanding of fabric layout-COM, Center cut, flow match, plain cover
Must be knowledgeable in upholstery methods and be able to complete quality control specifications.
This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high quality standards.
Experience/Certifications/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
The ability to stand, walk and move for up to eight hours per day
Previous experience with upholstery inspection and furniture manufacturing
Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills:
Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Comfortable multi-tasking, or, pivoting between tasks as the need arises
Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change
A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate knowledge of computer skills and Google Suite products
Excellent written, verbal and email etiquette communication skills

Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, stoop and bend for 8 hours or more daily
Must be able to move around the production floor to complete finishing tasks
Must be able to stoop, kneel or crouch to complete finishing tasks at at low level
Must be able to carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds
Must have the ability to observe details of finished product at a close range
Must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
