This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.

General Job Summary:

The Buyer is a full-time, on-site position in our Jupiter, FL office. The Buyer will perform day-to-day purchase activities involving placing orders for procuring goods and services for the company.

Essential Job Functions:

• Works directly with Manufacturing Operations Engineers for processing of requisitions.
• Reviews requisitions for formal RFQ processing and submittal to suppliers.
• Works with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as delivery schedules.
• Obtain vendor information and help set up new vendors in compliance with government requirements.
• Award purchase orders in accordance with FAR.
• Prepare purchase orders using Costpoint.
• Obtains certifications of delivery and conducts check against order.
• Communicate purchase order/project status with internal customers.
• Maintain required procurement records associated with CPSR.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Operations Engineers for Receiving & QC process to support accounts payable.
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• BA/BS from a four-year college/university is preferred
• Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Costpoint is preferred
  
  

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Office/Lab/Warehouse environment
• Must be able to lift to 25lbs if necessary
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motion using common tools/equipment of the trade
• Ability to lift, grasp, sit, stand, bend, type, and see computer screen
