What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Generator Technician position at Kraft Power?
Kraft Power's branch in Maine is looking for a self-motivated technician that can work independently and as part of a growing team. This person will help to provide solutions for our customers and their power generation systems. Kraft Power will provide training for this position as we invest heavily in factory training.
Performs activities associated with maintenance, repairs, installations and startups of industrial and residential generator equipment; engines, and related electronic components; investigates and resolves customer reports of technical problems; works as directed to eliminate future operational or service difficulties by performing planned maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, and necessary repairs. Our technicians are our main point of contact with our customers and are essential to help provide our greatest growth opportunity.
Installs or supports the installation of new or modified equipment at customer's location to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
Reviews performance reports and documentation and inspects malfunctioning or damaged equipment to determine nature and scope of problems and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
Provides on-site technical services to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
Participates in training on the technical particulars and safe operations of the equipment.
Field service role which requires a self-driven person with a proven ability to work independently as well as part of a growing team.
Experience repairing either engines, generators, turbines, motors, gears, or water jets
Understanding of electricity
Willingness and ability to travel
High school, technical school, or GED equivalent
Valid driver's license
Professional experience and training on a leading brand of generators or engines (Rehlko/Kohler, Scania, Deu
