Join our supportive, close-knit team at Kraft Miles Law Corporation, a boutique Family Law firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for associates with 2-5 years of experience in any area of law to transition into or grow within Family Law.

You’ll work under the mentorship of a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS), with a support staff to attorney ratio of 1.5 to 1. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $200,000, plus benefits and stipends, commensurate with your experience and billing.

During your 90-day onboarding, we’ll work in-person so we can get to know each other and ensure your success. After onboarding, we have a common-sense hybrid work policy. We balance flexibility with in-office collaboration, in-person court appearances, and in-person client meetings. (Some of our clients may not have a safe or private place to speak with counsel from home.)

Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. After-hours e-mail accessibility is required due to the nature of our work.

About the Role

As an associate family law attorney, you’ll do incredibly meaningful work. The day-to-day is a mix of client meetings, drafting documents, discovery, case preparation, legal research, strategy, and court appearances. You work directly with clients from start to finish and develop impactful relationships helping families.

As your expertise and experience grow, there is plenty of room for us to promote you from within, or we can support you as you prepare to become a successful solo.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

●    Have 2-5 years of law firm experience

●    Are passionate about Family Law and eager to learn

●    Excel in client communication, legal writing, and time management

●    Familiarity with judicial council forms and discovery procedures

●    Can appear in person at LA and Ventura Superior Courts (Chatsworth, Van Nuys, Pasadena, DTLA, Ventura)

●      Litigation experience

●      Proficiency in Child and Spousal Support software, MS Office, Clio Case Management and Billing software, PDF software

●      Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Salary/Benefits

Our salary range is $120,000 – $200,000 commensurate with your experience, billing, and qualifications. We also provide:
