Water Operations Manager
We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Water Operations Manager to lead and oversee irrigation and water management operations across multiple agricultural sites. This role is responsible for maintaining irrigation infrastructure, pumps, wells, water treatment systems, and overall water quality while ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong agricultural irrigation experience, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead crews with a safety-first mindset. This position works closely with the Operations Director and plays a key role in supporting daily farm operations and long-term water management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee irrigation systems, pumps, wells, and water treatment equipment
- Manage repairs and maintenance for irrigation infrastructure and PVC systems
- Monitor water quality, pond aeration, and domestic water systems
- Ensure compliance with water rights regulations and annual reporting requirements
- Maintain irrigation computers and related technology systems
- Lead and support irrigation crews while promoting workplace safety and accountability
- Coordinate repairs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and respond to operational needs across farm locations
Qualifications
- Experience with agricultural irrigation systems and water operations
- Mechanical and troubleshooting experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around agricultural equipment
