About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
- Analyze project proposals to determine costs and prepare detailed estimates.
- Communicate with project team to clarify project details
- Identify potential cost-saving measures and propose alternatives to clients
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
- Collaborating with other departments and providing occasional support to project managers during the construction phase.
- Work independently on medium and large projects.
- Experience: 5 years in construction or a related field, and/or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in construction estimating or project management are a plus. Thorough knowledge of multiple product types and trades.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficient in on screen take-off software, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom, AutoCAD (viewing)
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills with the capacity to work well under pressure. Proficient in construction estimating software and tools, reviewing and interpreting construction documents, reading and writing of technical specifications
- Attributes: Logical, objective, inquisitive, punctual, independent, perceptive, accomplished, resourceful, persistent, dedicated, pragmatic, and reliable.
- Reports to Senior Vice President of Preconstruction
- Desk and computer-based work
- Inspect job sites: walk up to 1 mile and climb stairs.
- Lift up to 15 pounds at a time
