About the Role:

Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Azure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps automation frameworks. This role is critical for ensuring resiliency, scalability, and security across our enterprise environment. You will own the “Ops” side of CI/CD, enabling seamless deployments for application development teams while driving infrastructure-as-code practices and disaster recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage Azure environments (Central/East regions, storage accounts, Azure Files, VMs, Function Apps, Data Lake, Entra ID, Databricks, Purview).
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines from scratch in Azure DevOps and manage operational aspects (monitoring, alerting, rollback, scaling).
• Configure and manage Commvault for backup and disaster recovery; create recovery playbooks.
• Troubleshoot layers 1–4 networking issues; work with VNETs, subnets, gateways, Azure DNS, and VPNs.
• Implement security best practices (PIM, PAM, MFA, IAM) and enforce compliance via Azure Policy & Blueprints.
• Collaborate with development teams to support Azure PaaS services and microservices architecture.
• Produce clear documentation and reference architectures for stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills:

• Azure Cloud Infrastructure (VMs, Function Apps, Data Lake, Entra ID, Azure Files).
• Terraform (HashiCorp certification a plus).
• CI/CD & DevOps (Azure DevOps pipelines).
• Networking & Security (VNETs, VPNs, Palo Alto firewalls, Powershell scripting).
• Disaster Recovery & Backup (Commvault).
• Event-Driven Architecture & Microservices.
• Python/Bash scripting for automation.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Cost Management & Log Analytics.
• Power BI dashboards.
• Databricks platform management.
• SQL Managed Instance.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (Administrator, Solutions Architect).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven leadership experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Azure PaaS components and governance tools.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
