What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician (Part Time) position at KPC Promise Healthcare LLC?
KPC Promise Hospital of SALT LAKE: Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Pharmacy/ Pharmacist, he/she performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system, prepare medications, fills automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procure, and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver supplies to nursing units.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Six to twelve months of pharmacy experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical: Walking - up to 50% Standing - up to 70% Kneeling - up to 20%
Sitting- up to 20% Pushing - up to 20% Bending - up to 40%
Squatting - up to 20% Pulling - up to 20% Reaching - up to 30%
Lifting - up to 30 lbs Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90%
Mental: Stress Level: Low to Moderate
EXPOSURE RISK: Category III - Jobs in which required tasks involve no greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
