Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. This role requires a compassionate leader who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our patients while maintaining operational excellence within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operation of the Center.
- Participates in developing objectives for Center.
- Determines a staffing pattern that will accomplish objectives and promote maximum efficiency in utilization of personnel.
- Coordinates interdisciplinary team services.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of patient needs.
- Participates in hiring/orientation of new employees.
- Nursing interventions.
- Educational services to increase the parent's or guardian's confidence and competence in caring for the child with special needs.
- Assistance to facilitate coping with the effects of chronic illness on the child and family and support effective relationships among siblings and the ill child.
- Interventions to foster normal development and psychosocial adaptation.
- Information regarding availability and access to community resources.
- A collaborative relationship with the interdisciplinary health team
- Carries out the intervention and actions specified in the patient’s plan of care.
- Assists in reviewing, evaluating, and updating the patient plan of care as needed.
Skills
- Licensed as a registered nurse in Florida.
- Current CPR Certification
- Eligible Background screening result from the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).
- Pediatric experience, minimum of 2-year general pediatric nursing experience of which at least 6 months must have been spent caring for medically fragile infants or children in a pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, PPEC, or similar care setting during the previous five years.
- Basic level computer skills.
- Excellent oral communication skills when speaking with other health professionals in the presence of patients (i.e., “bedside manner”).
- Meet physical demands generally required to perform critical tasks in support of critical job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to see and listen clearly to appropriately monitor the patient and associated medical equipment.
- Capable of responding to emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Pay: $76,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
