Qualifications
- Must meet all Texas state licensing requirements for Early Childhood Center Director. A Texas Director Credential is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- 3 or more years of leading in an accredited Montessori center or school with young children (ages 0 through 6 years)
- Proficiency with technology and software applications including current version of MS Office
- Must pass a criminal background check
- 3 years of experience with operational or instructional leadership of a multi-classroom school/center (e.g. as a Director, coaching other teachers, leading community outreach or similar)
- Strong track record of leading classrooms with meaningful, measurable outcomes for children
- Plano, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Managing Montessori School: 5 years (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- The Director will also participate in orchestrating relations with staff, students and families to build a healthy school with a strong sense of community and guiding the day-to-day operation of the school in compliance with all federal, state, accreditation, and internal regulations in an ethical manner
- As the Director, you'll be responsible for the school's growth and providing leadership to the entire school
- The center's daily operation must be administered in compliance with the minimum standards for licensing, health and safety requirements specified by Texas Department of Family and Protective Services for child care centers
- Ensure that all employees comply with the minimum standards specified by Texas Department of Family and Protective Services for the early childhood centers; have assignments that match their skills, abilities, and training; and meet the
- policies and regulations
- Direct the facility’s daily operation to ensure that children are provided a safe and healthy environment; provide the opportunity to develop stable, caring relations, and provide an environment that fosters cognitive, social and emotional growth
- Ensuring overall profitability targets are met (including managing school budget)
- Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner
- Demonstrate the following core values: integrity, high expectations, commitment, respect, dedication to teamwork and passion for a student centered environment
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job
- Operate the center according to state licensing standards
- Assist teachers with the weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activities, as needed
- Assist in purchase of supplies, equipment, food, and other materials necessary for program operations
- Assist in execution marketing plan (both internal and external) necessary to maintain desired enrollment
- Assume responsibility for the attendance, progress, conduct and health of students and supervise the maintenance of accurate records of each student served at the child care center
- Assume supervisory responsibility and instructional leadership for the planning, operation, supervision and evaluation of the child care center program
- Hire, supervise and evaluate the performance of staff assigned to child care program including teacher(s), instructional assistant(s), cook(s), student assistant(s), and administrator(s).

Pay: $50,145.62 - $60,390.42 per year
