Golf Course Maintenance

We are currently seeking Golf Course Maintenance Staff who are ready to make a difference. You must be eager and ready to work hard to maintain the high standards of these courses. This is outdoor work that happens in all types of weather conditions on all seven days of the week. You must be motivated to do a great job. Experience is preferred but we will train eager candidates.

Job Duties:

• ·        Walk mow (rotary reel mowers) weed eat, check banks tunnels, bunker faces, tree rings and ponds.
• ·        Edge curbs, cart paths, and yardage markers.
• ·        Paint ball washers, tee markers, cups for greens, flag poles, yardage plaques, tee plaques, and hazard stakes.
• ·        Use backpack blowers.
• ·        Use a chain saw and chip brush.
• ·        Spread granular fertilizer.
• ·        Hand rake sand traps.
• ·        Clean bathrooms, pick up golf course trash at each hole.
• ·        Set-up golf course – cut cups, move tee markers, move directional ropes/blocks, check ball washer fluid.
• ·        Spread mulch.
• ·        Hand hose dry spots on putting greens.
• ·        Edge irrigation heads.
• ·        Dig up irrigation leaks.
• ·        Pick up trash on property including roadsides, pond edges, parking lots and golf courses.
• ·        Remove and lay sod.
• ·        Lifting 50 pounds.
• ·        Work in all environments, including rain, snow, heat and cold.
• ·        Top dressing greens with sand.
• ·        Verti cutting greens.
• ·        Drag mat sand into green canopy.
• ·        Mow: greens, tees, collars, aprons, fairways, rough, right of ways, fescue.
• ·        Equipment operation: John Deere, Ford Tractors, backhoes, skid steer, sand pro, utility vehicles, dump truck, chipper, stump grinder, trencher, tractor blower, leaf vacuum, bush hog, and turbine blower.
• ·        Use shovel to level irrigation heads, valve boxes, catch basins, remove bunker sand, and top dress tees.
• ·        Operate pressure washer to clean equipment & tools.
• ·        Remove and plant winter/summer annual flowers.
• ·        Stone mason work.
• ·        Brush bade, pond banks and wood lines.
• ·        Fertilizer applications-rotary drop spreaders.
• ·        Install French drainage.
• ·        Operate sump pumps.
• ·        Irrigation repair.
• ·        Roll greens.
• ·        Use tire changer.
• ·        Fill divots in tees & fairways.
