Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, creating a friendly first impression
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate seating arrangements
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the menu, reservations, or wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and escalating issues when necessary
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment
- Strong customer service skills with a welcoming demeanor and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with guests, team members, and management
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Knowledge of food service operations and guest relations practices
