Surgical Registered Nurse
Full Time - 72 hours per pay period
Kossuth Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dedicated surgical team. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and high-quality surgical care.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub and circulating nurse
- Maintain a sterile field and follow OR protocols
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies—perform and verify sponge, needle, and instrument counts
- Assess & respond to patient needs—both physical & psychosocial—before,
during, and after surgical procedures
- Implement individualized care plans in accordance with hospital policies,
Physician directives, and patient/family preferences
- Maintain accurate & timely documentation using electronic health records
- Participate in on-call rotation and team-based care
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Iowa
- Experience: 2 years surgical or scrub experience preferred
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and Mandatory Reporting
- Skills: Strong communication & teamwork skills
- Competency: Ability to provide age-appropriate care in the operating room setting
Selected applicant will be required to complete a drug test, immunizations, vaccinations, background check and other health tests.
Salary : $76,395 - $98,097
