Position Summary
Koss Industrial is looking for a HR Generalist / Recruiter to support our Green Bay team. This is a hands-on HR position with a strong focus on recruiting while also providing day-to-day support in onboarding, employee relations, benefits, HR administration, compliance, and employee documentation.
The ideal candidate enjoys recruiting and working directly with employees and managers and is comfortable handling a variety of HR responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Recruiting & Hiring
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions from job posting through accepted offer.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements.
- Create and maintain job postings designed to attract qualified candidates.
- Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, schools, workforce organizations, and community resources.
- Review applications and resumes and conduct initial phone interviews.
- Coordinate interviews and assist hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Prepare and extend employment offers and coordinate pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain recruiting records and track open positions and hiring activity.
- Develop relationships with technical schools, colleges, workforce organizations, and other recruiting partners.
- Participate in career fairs and recruiting events as needed.
HR Generalist Support
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist managers with employee relations, attendance, performance, and corrective action matters.
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Process employee changes and maintain accurate HRIS information.
- Support employee benefit administration and benefit-related questions.
- Assist with performance reviews, training, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
- Support employee separations and offboarding.
- Assist with leave administration and required employee documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with HR projects and process improvements.
- Perform other HR responsibilities as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of HR and/or recruiting experience preferred.
- Previous recruiting experience required.
- Experience managing multiple positions through the full recruiting process preferred.
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, technical, or engineering positions is a plus.
- General knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.
- Experience with onboarding, employee relations, benefits, HR administration, or performance management preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- HR-related degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
