Role Overview
The Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (CRCO) will lead our risk and compliance strategy in the U.S. market. This role will oversee the company’s risk and compliance framework while serving as the key liaison with regulators and external partners. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the platform's risk and compliance strategy aligned with U.S. regulatory requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact with regulators, compliance partners, and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain a scalable risk and compliance framework across fraud, trading, and platform risk
- Oversee AML/KYC, sanctions, and related compliance programs in collaboration with internal and external teams
- Partner with leadership, product, and operations teams to ensure compliant and efficient business execution
- Establish strong governance, monitoring, and escalation mechanisms
Requirements
- Proven experience in risk, compliance, or governance roles within fintech, crypto, or financial services
- Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks (BSA/AML, sanctions, etc.)
- Experience working with regulators or external compliance partners
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to balance risk control with business growth in a fast-moving environment
- Experience working in early-stage or scaling companies is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in crypto exchanges, digital assets, or trading platforms
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction regulatory environments
- Background working closely with founders or executive leadership
Salary : $1,000,000 - $1,500,000
