Job Title: Part‑Time Maintenance Technician
Location: Sleep Inn , Mount Olive, NC
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Part‑Time, flexible days; weekends as needed)
About the Role
Sleep Inn Mount Olive is seeking a dependable Part‑Time Maintenance Technician to support daily hotel operations and assist with an upcoming property renovation. This daytime role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and helping prepare the hotel for important upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- General Repairs perform basic maintenance tasks throughout the property
- Renovation Assistance help with prep work, minor demolition, moving furniture, installing fixtures, and supporting contractors
- Complete work orders promptly and accurately
- Assist with preventive maintenance (filters, batteries, inspections)
- Troubleshoot minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues
- Maintain exterior areas, walkways, and lighting
- Support housekeeping and front desk with urgent repair needs
- Ensure safety standards and property compliance are met
- Demonstrate consistent dependability and professionalism
Requirements
- Dependability is essential reliable attendance and follow‑through
- Experience with basic maintenance, repairs, or building upkeep
- Ability to assist with renovation tasks such as lifting, moving, and minor installation
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical labor
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time well
- Hotel or apartment maintenance experience is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
