Description
Kforce has a client in the King of Prussia area adding a Senior Payroll & Compliance Specialist to their team. This is a great opportunity - new added position to break up the Payroll among the team and allow for more reporting and value-added duties. This position offers excellent benefits - 401k, Vision, Medical, Dental, and a strong PTO plan. Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for multiple entities, multiple states, including job costing and department coding for 600 employees
Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports (CPR) for prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon Federally Funded projects
Prepare and file payroll taxes (weekly, quarterly, and annual)
Manage union reports and benefit remittances
Support 401(k) contributions and maintain employee census data
Reconcile benefits enrollments and terminations
Maintain accurate, audit-ready employee and payroll records
Support on-boarding, terminations, and compliance documentation
Prepare W-2s, ACA reporting, and year-end filings
Review and audit weekly time sheets
Supervise payroll staff and ensure accuracy of payroll processes
Communicate payroll and compliance updates to leadership
Requirements
Must Have Certified Payroll for Federally Funded Davis-Bacon compliance
5+ years of payroll experience (construction preferred)
Timberline Payroll experience must
Experience with multi-state payroll processing
Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance and deductions
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, some overtime may occur but not a large amount as this is a newly added position to expand the function and meet significant growth
On site in the office daily - no exceptions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
