Our client is a growing direct-to- consumer products company seeking a Senior Ecommerce Manager to lead and scale its direct-to-consumer business. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, this individual will serve as the primary owner of the ecommerce function and partner closely with executive leadership to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, conversion optimization, and overall digital commerce performance.
This is a highly visible leadership role with regular interaction with the executive team and the opportunity to influence the future growth strategy of the organization. The successful candidate will operate in a lean environment with significant autonomy and accountability, serving as both strategist and hands-on operator.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall DTC Shopify ecommerce site strategy and revenue growth initiatives
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value improvements
- Lead email marketing strategy, list growth, segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and customer engagement efforts
- Analyze customer behavior, website performance, and conversion funnel metrics to identify growth opportunities
- Improve conversion rates, customer journeys, cart abandonment performance, and onsite engagement
- Drive ecommerce merchandising, promotional strategy, and website optimization initiatives
- Partner with and manage external agencies supporting paid media and digital marketing efforts
- Build KPI reporting, performance dashboards, and executive-level business reviews
- Serve as the internal ecommerce and digital growth subject matter expert
- Influence stakeholders across leadership, operations, marketing, and product functions
- Hold agency partners accountable and bring greater ownership of key growth initiatives in-house over time
Ideal Background
- Experience leading and growing a DTC ecommerce business
- Strong hands-on experience with email marketing, customer retention, lifecycle marketing, and list growth strategies
- Experience analyzing customer journeys, user behavior, conversion funnels, and website performance
- Exposure to the full digital ecosystem, including:
