The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to anchor our internal financial operations. The focus will be managing the SG&A (Selling, General, and Administrative) expenses, corporate liquidity, and assisting with the critical payroll function that supports our entire workforce.
We need a proactive, self-starting professional who understands the critical role of accounting in supporting the operations of the business and the executive team.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Accounting & SG&A Management:
- Full ownership of the SG&A ledger, ensuring all non-project expenses (rent, utilities, professional fees, IT, etc.) are coded accurately and managed against the budget.
- Manage the full-cycle Corporate AP and AR, ensuring vendors are paid timely and corporate reimbursements are processed efficiently.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for all corporate bank accounts and credit cards.
- Identify trends in corporate spending and provide "early warning" reports to the Controller regarding budget variances.
Payroll & Time Coding:
- Ensure payroll is properly processed by HR and input into the accounting system accurately.
Cash Flow & Treasury:
- Monitor corporate cash positions daily to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Assist the Controller in forecasting non-project cash requirements to support our year-over-year growth.
- Support the annual corporate audit by providing detailed SG&A schedules and payroll documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 5 years of accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on Corporate Accounting and Full-Cycle Payroll.
- Technical Proficiency: Readily adaptable to technology including essential MS Office products.
- High proficiency in Excel and ERPs.
- Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP as it relates to corporate overhead and payroll taxes.
- Growth Capability: Ability to refine and automate manual processes to support our growth strategy.
