What you’ll do
Organization & systems
- Assist in the re‑organization of legal documents and workflows: taxonomy, naming conventions, retention schedules, and searchability.
- Implement templates and playbooks, improve intake/ticketing, champion best practices.
Contracts & correspondence
- Draft and edit simple form agreements and letters like NDAs.
Risk, confidentiality & cross‑functional support
- Handle confidential information with care, support risk management and occasional HR‑related matters.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and pitch in where needed.
Real‑estate transaction support
- Prepare and coordinate closing checklists, certificates, resolutions/consents, signature packets, estoppels, and title/escrow deliverables.
- Assemble closing binders, maintain diligence rooms, and liaise with outside counsel, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
Corporate governance & entity management
- Draft, proof, and maintain board minutes, resolutions, written consents, agendas, and annual calendars.
- Support entity formations/registrations, EIN applications, DBAs, annual/biennial filings, and registered agent updates.
What you’ll bring
- 2 years of real estate paralegal experience; law firm background strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting real‑estate closings (checklists, signatures, title/escrow coordination, closing sets).
- Builder mindset: highly organized, systems‑oriented, and energized by fixing taxonomies and workflows.
- Growth orientation: eager to learn, assume increasing responsibility, and contribute beyond a narrow job box.
- California Notary commission preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
