The newly created Lead of Technical Accounting is a high-impact opportunity crucial in supporting continued growth of the company. As the Lead of Technical Accounting, your responsibilities will expand beyond technical accounting research into process improvements and implementations. You’ll be deeply involved in ongoing Accounting and Finance projects, helping enhance existing processes, improve efficiency, and drive greater automation.
***MUST BE LOCAL TO THE MINNEAPOLIS AREA - Position is On-Site Daily***

Scope of Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical accounting research on a broad range of business transactions
- Preparation of financial reporting disclosures, whitepapers, memos, playbooks, and ad-hoc technical accounting needs
- Monitor emerging accounting standards and pronouncements, assessing their impact on the organization’s accounting policies and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, and SEC reporting requirements
- Support Internal Controls
- Help identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes, driving operational efficiencies and process enhancements.
- Partner with Accounting on monthly and quarterly processes
- Partnership with Internal and External Auditors
Requirements:
- CPA
- Target 5 years of experience - Mix of Public Accounting and Industry
- Open to ALL Public Accounting background
- Exposure and experience with conducting technical accounting research
