As the International Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping global accounting, consolidations, and compliance activities, while strengthening the financial infrastructure to support continued growth, and serving as a strategic partner to the CFO. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with global accounting standards, compliance and local regulations.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support expansion into new markets and drive operational efficiency.
- Manage accounting operations for multiple subsidiaries; ensure compliance with all local tax, labor, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external legal and audit partners to manage local filings, registrations, and statutory audits.
- Oversee foreign exchange exposure, global treasury, and banking relationships.
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, including direct reports domestically and internationally, as the organization continues to grow.
- Project accounting and cost control to provide financial insight into project profitability, labor utilization, and margin performance by geography, discipline, and client.
- Systems integration projects Evaluate and enhance ERP and accounting tools for global scalability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with some experience in a multi-national or a project-based organization
- Proven management, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, international accounting standards required.
- Demonstrated experience with global consolidations, intercompany accounting, multi-currency environments, and foreign subsidiary management.
- Exposure to project job costing, or project based financial structures helpful
- Exceptional communication and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong systems and ERP experience, such as SAP, Vista, NetSuite, Oracle, or Deltek and advanced Excel/Power BI analysis experience
- Position requires 10-15% international travel
