THE DIFFERENCE YOU'LL MAKE
Our Controller works a standard Monday through Friday office schedule.
You'll direct the critical financial and administrative responsibilities for our accounting department, optimizing our processes and setting our business up for continued growth. Working closely with management, you'll review performance indicators, manage our financial activities, and help leaders make data-driven decisions. Organization and attention to detail are key, and you'll be responsible for producing and maintaining financial statements, internal management reports, and other essential finance documents. You'll analyze business trends, optimize accounting workflows, and identify ways to improve our business's profitability. Our ideal Controller can perform the following:
- Leading, training, and supervising team members as well as reviewing performance metrics and making recommendations for improvement
- Maintaining a communicative, cooperative, and productive work environment
- Designing financial reporting packages and analyzing variances to budgets or forecasts
- Identifying and resolving operational issues
- Overseeing the organization's planning and budgeting activities and regularly assessing our financial standing
- Preparing and submitting finance documents, general ledgers, cash flow records, and more
- Coordinating month- and year-end closing reports and audits
- Overseeing and optimizing administrative processes in the accounting department
- Managing billing, vendor payments, business accounting files, payroll reports, insurance data, and other crucial aspects
- Collaborating with the president and management to execute growth strategies
- Protecting business confidentiality and ensuring all employees are well-informed of company policies
CONTROLLER REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience using ComputerEase accounting software - preferred, not required
