Position Summary
The ICT Technician – Level 2 will serve as the primary on-site IT resource supporting the company's U.S. operation. This is a hands-on, autonomous position responsible for second-linetechnical support, end-user services, endpoint management, networking, infrastructure support, cybersecurity initiatives, and coordination with external technology partners.
The successful candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting complex technical issues independently, managing multiple priorities, working directly with employees and vendors, and taking ownership of issues through resolution.
This position is well suited to an experienced IT professional who enjoys a broad technical role and wants significant ownership of the site's technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Service Desk & End-User Support
- Own second-line incident and service request management for all U.S. users.
- Resolve complex hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues.
- Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and related technology.
- Triage, prioritize, and escalate issues appropriately to internal IT teams and external technology partners.
- Maintain high standards of ticket documentation, communication, and service delivery.
Identity, Access & Endpoint Management
- Administer user accounts, groups, and access within Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
- Manage MFA enrollment, conditional access support, and license assignment.
- Support device provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management for new hires, transfers, and departures.
- Support endpoint management using Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, MDM/MAM, and related technologies.
- Maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, conditional-access integrations, and application deployments.
Infrastructure & Networking
- Provide on-site support for the organization's business network environment, including switches, access points, gateways, cabling, patching, and first-response troubleshooting.
- Support ongoing network infrastructure expansion and upgrades.
- Coordinate and supervise access for network contractors and validate completed installations.
- Manage basic infrastructure troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and site-level technical issues.
- Support on-site audio/visual infrastructure and meeting-room technology.
- Partner with Workplace Services, Security, Facilities, and other stakeholders on office and facility technology requirements.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Support phishing simulations and security-awareness initiatives.
- Assist with cybersecurity remediation activities and follow-up on identified findings.
- Support information-security compliance initiatives, including documentation, evidence collection, and control implementation.
- Promote good cybersecurity practices across the U.S. operation.
- Serve as a local point of contact for security-related technology activities.
Vendor & Project Delivery
- Serve as the primary local technology liaison for scheduled service work, escalations, and project delivery.
- Coordinate and support external vendors and contractors across networking, telecommunications, AV, facilities technology, and related services.
- Contribute to technology projects including network refreshes, AV deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and security enhancements.
- Manage IT equipment procurement, repairs, maintenance, and inventory tracking.
- Maintain secure, standardized, and scalable device-management practices.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, asset registers, and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 4 years of experience in an ICT/IT support role, with demonstrated Level 2 or higher experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID administration.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VLANs
- Wi-Fi
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting business-grade network hardware.
- Experience with endpoint management and Windows 11.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or equivalent endpoint-management platforms .
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and own technical issues through resolution.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ubiquiti / UniFi network environments.
- Relevant technical certifications such as:
- CompTIA A
- CompTIA Network
- Microsoft MD-102
- Microsoft Azure fundamentals
- Microsoft 365 fundamentals
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, or other multi-sitebusiness environment.
- Experience coordinating third-party IT vendors and contractors.
