Key Responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting operations, including monthly close, POC (percentage-of-completion) accounting, and job‑cost tracking.
• Develop and enhance financial systems and processes, including ERP and job‑management system architecture, data migration, and controls.
• Manage all aspects of debt administration, including interest and amortization schedules, cash forecasting, and covenant tracking.
• Own financial reporting and analytics, including quarterly 3‑statement reporting packages and coordination of annual audits.
• Serve as a strategic finance partner, presenting performance insights and recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive stakeholders.
• Oversee and develop a small accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as the business grows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA preferred.
• Public accounting background with construction industry clients, or a mix of public accounting and construction or adjacent industry
• OR 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance leadership within construction, engineering, utilities, or another project‑based environment.
• Strong technical GAAP knowledge
• Job costing/percentage-of-completion accounting knowledge required
• Experience with ERP systems, data architecture, and process design.
• Demonstrated ability to manage debt, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Exposure to private equity is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary up to $175k with some flexibility to go higher for the right person, DOE
