KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Architect (IT Officer II) in Ventura County.
Overview
The Enterprise Architect is a senior technology leader responsible for defining and governing enterprise architecture across all domains, including applications, data, infrastructure, security, cloud, and emerging technologies. This role ensures that technology solutions align with organizational priorities, support operational efficiency, and enable long-term innovation.
Reporting to senior IT leadership, the Enterprise Architect serves as both a strategic advisor and hands-on solution architect for major initiatives. This position also leads the organization's applied AI strategy, ensuring responsible, secure, and effective adoption of AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks to align technology solutions with business objectives
- Establish architecture standards, design principles, and governance processes
- Develop and maintain current-state and future-state architecture roadmaps
- Ensure consistency, scalability, and sustainability of enterprise technology solutions
- Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary solution architect for complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
- Provide guidance on system design, integration strategies, and technology selection
- Oversee architecture decisions across application, data, infrastructure, and cloud environments
- Ensure solutions are secure, interoperable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards
- AI Strategy & Emerging Technologies
- Lead the development and implementation of applied AI strategy
- Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI adoption, including risk management, transparency, and compliance
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical adoption strategies
- Guide the integration of AI capabilities into enterprise systems
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to align technology strategy with organizational goals
- Support modernization initiatives, including system consolidation and technical debt reduction
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with risk and security requirements
- Provide architectural oversight across departments and projects
- Architecture Planning & Oversight
- Develop reference architectures and design patterns across key domains (cloud, integration, data, applications, AI)
- Assess existing systems to identify risks, redundancies, and improvement opportunities
- Support strategic planning and budgeting by aligning investments with architecture roadmaps
- Maintain architecture documentation to support long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, systems integration, cloud technologies, data architecture, and AI-enabled technologies
- Experience aligning technology strategy with organizational goals in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or building enterprise architecture programs
- Background in large-scale or complex operational environments
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as ERP systems or large-scale service applications
- Experience developing governance frameworks for emerging technologies, including AI
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud architecture certifications, or similar)
Additional Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances as applicable
- Valid driver's license (if required for role responsibilities)

Work Environment
Standard full-time schedule with flexibility based on organizational needs
May require additional hours to support critical initiatives or operational demands
Salary : $129,000 - $195,000
