Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will support core accounting functions across our multi-plant operations, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow their accounting career in a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile accounts across multiple plant locations
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing
- Support inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and physical inventory counts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting packages
- Help maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP
- Collaborate with operations and plant teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and reporting
- Support external audit requests and provide documentation as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency, including ERP/systems usage
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing or cost accounting experience a plus)
- Solid understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Acumatica, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing, CPG, or contract manufacturing environment
- Exposure to inventory/standard costing systems
- CPA track or progress toward CPA licensure
- Experience working across multiple entities or locations
