Job Responsibilities The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a manufacturing environment in accordance with local and national codes. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC), wiring, panels, lighting, and electrical devices Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify and resolve issues Ensure all installations are compliant with the NEC (National Electrical Code) and local building codes Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and components Adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standards Assist in maintaining electrical parts stocking levels to ensure proper parts are on hand. Requirements & Qualifications Valid TDLR Journeyman Electrician license (TDLR - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) or better 3 years of commercial electrical experience Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license Must be able to operate mobile equipment (aerial lifts, scissor lift, boom lift, etc.) Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform quality installations Ability to work in outdoor environments Computer literate: Microsoft Applications and CMMS software Strong manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the procurement/supply chain process Koppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
