The Chemical Operator is responsible for maintaining safety, plant production, operating efficiency and regulatory compliance
Job Responsibilities
- Follows and encourages others to follow all organizational safety rules and practices.
- Fosters & maintains a positive work environment.
- Performs basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process.
- Ability to operate a forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials.
- Performs basic lab testing.
- Count and report inventory daily and assist monthly inventory counts.
- Ability to follow and perform lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment.
- Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Maintain accurate records including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents.
- Recommends methods to improve production methods and equipment.
- Ability to assist others in troubleshooting problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic computer literacy.
