Job Summary
Our Injection Mold Press Mechanic will be working daily with our Molding & Extrusion teams in our Clearwater facility to ensure the 25 Mold Presses are kept safe and operational. They will partner with the MFG Leadership Teams to ensure a strong culture that is committed to achieving results -- all in focus of one thing -- Our commitment to the Customer.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with co-workers, supervisors and managers. The ability to analyze and solve problems, exceptional attention to detail, highly organized self-starter who can manage time, handle challenges, volumes of work and pressure to assist team members with issues and opportunities that arise daily.
Responsibilities
- Changing Molds Daily in Mold Presses to other products.
- Troubleshoot and maintain all injection molding machines with goal of keeping the production floor running 24/5.
- Understand, maintain or repair water system, plastic resin conveying system, hydraulic system, electric and electronic basics, grease and oil definitions and compressed air systems.
- Maintain all facets of Injection Molding machines.
- Complete work orders related to machine repairs and or preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment and repair machines.
- Fabricate machine parts as required.
- Reduce downtime of machines to support production demand.
- Prioritize and complete assignments on time.
- Communicate clearly and in collaboration with Manager & Manufacturing Department
- Meet with supervisors regarding operation of machines.
- Continuous training of machine operators.
- Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must have a minimum of 5-10 years in injection molding, extrusion, plastics and mold tooling.
- Have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance several projects at one time.
- A basic knowledge of machine shop practices, technologies, machine tool operations, working qualities of materials, shop mathematics, and handbook formulas.
- A basic knowledge of injection molding design, materials and scientific injection molding.
- Must have a basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Be proficient in MS Office
- Possess good oral and written skills to communicate with coworkers, management and engineering.
- Must be trained and licensed to operate forklifts.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Keep work areas neat and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
