We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repair Technician to join our team.
Your role will be to repair various vehicles and transform them into a condition as good as new.
Responsibilities will include assessing vehicle damage, carrying out repair work including body alignment, and replacing damaged parts.
You should be skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate damage and determine necessary repair strategies
- Perform repairs, including body alignment, dent removal, and parts replacement
- Use a range of tools, including pneumatic devices, welding equipment, and paint sprayers
- Ensure that all repairs are completed to high-quality standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times
- Keep work area clean and organized
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Repair Technician
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices
- A valid driver’s license
- Vocational training or (i-Car or another equivalent) certification is a plus
- Valid experience with auto estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory
Additional Information
- Work Environment: This position requires working in a garage environment and may involve exposure to dust, fumes, and loud noises. Protective gear is provided.
- Reporting Structure: Reports to the Body Shop Manager.
- Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
