Koo Chinese Academy (KooChinese.com ) has openings for Chinese Language Teachers to teach in our Total Immersion Chinese Summer Camp in our center in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
These are ready-to-hire jobs with the opportunity to convert to long-term full time or part-time employment.
We are a learning Center specialized in teaching the Chinese language and cultures to K-8 students. We offer competitive salaries and bonuses and sponsor OPT and H1B for our employees.
Dates and Times:
June 22 to July 31, 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Applicants can choose the weeks to work and can choose full day, morning half day or afternoon half day shifts.
Work Shifts:
1. Full Day: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (lunch break 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm)
2. Morning Half Day: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
3. Afternoon Half Day: 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Role and Responsibilities:
- Teach theme based lessons, organize activities, games for grade K - 6 campers in an Chinese immersion environment.
- Organize and watch for campers during their lunch time and recess time.
- Work with a team of teachers to design and develop curriculum and lesson plans for the theme based Chinese Language and cultures classes and activities.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task.
- Fluent and Expert Level in Mandarin Chinese
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Great team player and a faster learner with positive energy and enthusiasm in teaching.
- Loving, caring, and enjoy being with children
- Experienced in teaching in Chinese Immersion Camp is a big plus.
