What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Konstruct Staff?
Project Manager / Project Controls Manager | Dallas-Fort Worth
Multi-Year Hyperscale Data Center Program | Clear Progression Path to VP
We’re working with a leading ENR-ranked general contractor that is looking to add a Project Manager / Project Controls Manager to support a long-term hyperscale data center program in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
This is a great opportunity for someone from a GC background who wants to stay close to construction, but take on more ownership around cost control, forecasting, change management, reporting, and overall project performance.
The successful person will be joining a multi-billion-dollar mission critical program with exposure from preconstruction through delivery, working closely with experienced operations, field, commercial, and project leadership teams across major data center campuses in DFW.
The role will be focused on helping drive visibility across cost, budget, schedule, change, risk, forecasting, and project execution.
You’ll be involved in:
- Project cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Change management and tracking cost impacts across the project
- Supporting schedule management, milestone tracking, and project performance analysis
- Working closely with operations, field teams, and leadership to support successful delivery
- Reviewing cost, scope, and project data to identify risks early
- Preparing clear reporting and updates for internal leadership
- Supporting large-scale, technically complex construction projects from early phases through completion
The ideal person will have around 5-10 years of construction experience and come from a background in project management, assistant project management, project engineering, project controls, estimating, preconstruction, or cost management.
Data center experience is a plus, but not essential.
The key thing is being able to understand construction, speak the language with project teams, read drawings, interpret scope, understand budgets, manage change, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
What makes this opportunity stand out:
- Long-term hyperscale data center program in DFW
- Multi-year project runway across major campus work
- Opportunity to join one of the most respected GCs in the U.S.
- Clear long-term progression and leadership development
- Strong mentorship from experienced project leadership
- Collaborative culture with long employee tenure
- Competitive base salary
- Vehicle allowance gas card
- Strong 401k contribution structure
- Profit sharing and project bonuses
- Platinum-level healthcare coverage
- Long-term stock participation opportunities
This could be a great move for someone who wants to build a long-term career in data centers while developing deeper experience around cost, commercial management, project controls, forecasting, and project performance.
