Hyperscale Data Centers | Client-Side / Owner’s Rep
We're working with a specialist cost consultancy / owner’s representative in Dallas that is expanding its data center cost team.
They partner with leading data center developers and digital infrastructure companies across major hyperscale programs in the U.S. and globally.
This is a great opportunity for someone from a cost management, quantity surveying, estimating, preconstruction, project engineering, assistant project management, project management, or project controls background who wants to move into a growing data center cost team with real exposure and long-term progression.
You’ll be supporting cost management across multiple hyperscale data center campuses, including, budgets, procurement, bid leveling, pay applications, change order reviews, forecasting, and overall cost reporting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, ROMs, budgets, and cost reports
- Supporting bid leveling, procurement, and contractor pricing analysis
- Reviewing pay applications, change orders, and contractor submissions
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings to understand scope, identify what needs to be priced, and review costs against drawings
- Finding scope gaps, discrepancies, and pricing issues
- Working closely with internal teams, customer-side stakeholders, senior leadership, and executive decision-makers
- Helping improve processes, cost data, and reporting across repeat hyperscale builds
What they’re looking for:
- At least 3 years of construction experience
- Background in either cost management, estimating, preconstruction, project controls, project management, assistant project management, or as a project engineer
- Strong understanding of construction costs, scope, drawings, change orders, and budgets
- Ability to communicate clearly with contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Someone detail-oriented, curious, collaborative, and keen to keep developing
- Data center experience is a plus, but not essential
