Job Description:
Kona Mantas is hiring a part-time Check-In Staff member to support our manta ray night snorkel tours out of Keauhou Harbor.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with people, being around the ocean, and being part of a fun, fast-paced team. No boating experience required—just a positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Schedule:
- Part-time (up to 20 hours per week)
- Evening shifts (aligned with tour schedule)
- Opportunity for additional hours
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Greet and check in guests at the harbor
- Help prepare guest gear bags (wetsuits, snorkel gear, etc.)
- Communicate with guests before arrival to ensure they are on time and prepared
- Use our booking system to update reservations, check guests in, and add notes
- Keep the captain updated on guest arrival times
- Guide guests to and from the boat ramp and answer basic questions
- Assist with basic payments (Venmo, CashApp, cash handling)
- Help keep gear organized and accounted for after each tour
- Assist with cleaning gear between tours
- Help crew prep the boat and equipment as needed
- Occasionally operate company vehicles (if needed)
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a Background Check
- Friendly, professional, and reliable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with manta ray snorkel tours
- Familiarity with booking systems or customer service roles
- Experience handling payments (cash or mobile apps)
